Animal Science
This major aims at forming professionals with solid knowledge in the areas of agrobusiness, capable of planning, managing and coordinating different animal production systems, agroindustrial establishments and public administration bodies.
The main attributions of these professionals are:
- fostering, planning, coordinating and managing programs for genetic improvement of different animal species of economic interest;
- act in the field of animal nutrition and feeding
- manage rural properties, corporate and commercial establishments linked to animal production;
- Judge, monitor and advise animals registration in genealogic register societies, exposition, tests and functional and animal science evaluations;
- act in agricultural products commercialization in internal and international markets;
- meet the society demands regarding excellence at the quality and safety of products with animal origin, promoting well-fare, life quality and public health.
