Pedagogy
The major of Pedagogy forms professionals which acting basis is teaching, guided by practice-theory unity, having transversality and interdisciplinarity as privileged categories. Pedagogy, according to the National Curricular Guidelines for the undergraduate major of Pedagogy, licentiate, (Resolution CNE/CP no. 1, 2006), must cover the educator formation in a broad sense which must prioritize the formal education, not the informal one.
The first must be understood as educative practices developed in the teaching system in Children Education and in primary grades of Elementary School, in which the schooling institution is organized as main educator's acting field and, the second one, presents, as acting field, many institutions, companies, organizations and groups of different fields of society.
