Mathematic
Mathematic aims at forming teachers prepared to act in the Basic Teaching, with conditions to develop a pedagogical practice aligned to the main teaching tendencies of Math which meets the necessities of its acting context.
This major prepares its students to act both at the on-site modality and at the distance teaching, considering the new perspectives that the current technological development allows. Furthermore, offers the graduates conditions to progress their studies in post-graduate programs in Mathematical Education, Mathematics or Applied Math.
Even though the major's goal is enabling students for teaching at elementary and high school, if there is demand, our licentiates have conditions to teach at Higher teaching.
Many can work in public institutions and others can work in public or private bank networks. There is also possibility to act on computing, industry and research bodies.
