Physics is the science which studies the nature, so that has the purpose of describing, interpreting, and predicting natural phenomena, analyzing their relations and properties, besides describing and explaining the greater part of their consequences, the universe structure, galaxies and stars, even the world of the fundamental particles that compose atoms and molecules. From the astronomically immense to the infinitesimal, Physics acts comprehending the world in which we live in all of its scales. It is one of the most exciting fields of study in the present.

For a society growingly dependent on science and technology, the formation in Physics is indispensible.

UFLA's course of Physics (Licentiate) presents a modern curricular proposal, that corroborates the new necessities and demands of society, with reflection upon teaching-learning, development of didactic projects and full political formation processes.

The course provides students with solid formation, preparing them not only to act in the teaching field, but also to apply their knowledge in the various fields of technology and scientific research, or, also, progress their studies in a post-graduate course.
