Automation and Control Engineering
The Automation and Control Engineering course, also known as Mechatronics, aims the branch of engineering responsible for the development and execution of industrial automation projects. The professional of this area works managing projects and equipment operations used in the automated processes in industries in general. It's also responsible for machine programming and software adaptation to industrial processes and integrating areas of computing, mechanics, robotics, electric and electronics.
With the increasing job market, the professional finds opportunities in the sectors of services, mineral extraction, agropecuary, automobilist, textile, chemical and petrochemical, alimentary, of technology of information, aeronautics, among others.
In a systemic way, the Control and Automation engineer understands the functioning process and control of a company and makes feasible the workings of different sectors, in a integrated manner, which includes robot projects for several applications.
At UFLA, the students of this course have access to several didactic themed laboratories in the basic and professionalizing cycle, besides research laboratories related to internships and scientific initiation.
