Physical Education (Baccalaureate)
The formation proposal for the bachelors in Physical Education of Federal University of Lavras is guided by a pedagogical practice focused on the learning process ballasted by a global and integrated view as way of teaching, promoting health and cultivating the improvement of well-fare of the society and the individuals.
Physical Education aims to prepare, through teaching, research and extension activities, generalist, critical and reflective professionals, capable of demonstrating mastery at what concerns knowledge of Physical Education, making them instruments for an ethic, active role at the social development in the full formation of children, teenagers, young-adults and adults, therefore contributing to the society with education for health, active way of living and citizenship conservation.
The professionals will be able to organize, plan, manage, evaluate and work pedagogically, scientifically, and technically in clubs, gyms, sport teams, companies and other branches of Baccalaureate, focusing on the sport initiation. With its 30 years tradition, broad structure and qualified teaching staff, UFLA's Physical Education Department makes possible the full academic development of its students.
