Biological Science aims to prepare professional with capacity to meet the increasing demands concerning the biological conservation and the environment suitability of processes and services. In this course, students do research on the fields of cell, molecular, physiological, genetic, ecological, botanic, animal and micro biology, having in mind the interaction with professionals in applied field and technology generation.

This courses focus on the formation of teachers committed to the understanding of science, in view of the comprehension of conception of the world, history, social context, theories, laws, methods and concept inherent of Biological Sciences.

To meet this formation, activities that involve expositive classes, field practices, biological, microscopy, chemistry, computation, geology laboratories and visits to biological reserves, besides internships linked to Biology teaching.

Professional will be able to work at research and/or teaching institutions, museums, herbarium, vivarium, industries, consultancy companies, sanitation bodies, environment preservation, parks, botanic gardens, and governmental or private institutions.
